Richard Hagberg - Silo mentality
Richard Hagberg defines silomentality as one of the greatest challenges in the quest for a strong and healthy company culture and finance. This is one of the conclusions from Accenture’s research on the link between culture and financial performance in 65 American companies.
According to Richard Hagberg the importance of a healthy culture within a company has changed increasingly through the years:
“Corporate executives used to look upon issues of their corporate culture as “soft and fuzzy” areas over which they had little control. No longer. Today’s senior leaders are increasingly finding that their most sophisticated corporate strategies stand little chance of being adopted and executed if the inherent culture of their company cannot or will not accommodate the change”.
This perception supports and explains why the SIGMA tools and methods have worked and made a great difference in so many ways through the years.
